Want to spend time after school exploring and creating? Come to Minecraft Club and build with your friends! In this exciting adventure, you will get to participate in building competitions with other boys, mine for precious resources, and fight off those pesky mobs together! Please note that due to the nature of this camp, campers will have one hour of screen time each meeting.

Be the star of a movie! In fact, be the writer, producer, director, and editor while you’re at it! In the Young Filmmakers Club, you will create your own movie or TV show using iMovie and Apple Clips. You will gain valuable experience working with the program and experiencing all aspects of creating a movie. You will help film Intramural Basketball Games to create a highlight video! You will also be involved in making videos we show in Chapel!

The stories we read — and the conversations we have about them — help shape family traditions, create lifelong memories, and become part of our legacy. Many parents can't get their children to become book-lovers. Other parents lose touch with what their child is reading.

Reading aloud with your children not only has the power to change a family — it can help your children grow into thoughtful, intelligent, empathetic adults.

Join us a for a study of The Read-Aloud Family: Making Meaningful and Lasting Connections with Your Kids by Sarah Mackenzie.

Led by PDS' Jenny Stenberg, Emily Lequerica, and Darilyn Christenbury, the study will take place over a single session offered from 11:30–1:00 on Tuesday, March 25 in the Library. Attendees are welcome to bring a lunch.

Senior Kindergarten 1st Grade

Join Mrs. Stenberg for the adventure edition of Afternoons in Library! This three-session camp will feature some Library favorites full of ADVENTURE—we’ll read Where the Wild Things Are, Who Would Win: Ultimate Jungle Rumble, and My Great Big Backyard.

Each session will include a group read-aloud, a craft, and an activity related to the story. Plus, all participants will get to check out an extra library book for the week!

Do you want to master your chess skills, increase your ranking, play more matches, and learn more strategy? Come to PDS Chess Club to learn and play in friendly competition against one another. Beginner Chess players welcome. We partner with Memphis Chess Club and have two experienced and highly rated certified Chess Instructors working with the boys on all types of chess strategy. Come for lots of learning and loads of fun!

Crusader Café is back for another year. Crusader Café is held during lunchtime and is a time where a boy can showcase his musical talents to his peers and others. Once again this year, we will be dining and entertaining everyone in the Fellowship Hall.

For Grades: 1st Grade 2nd Grade 3rd Grade 4th Grade 5th Grade 6th Grade

Because of the nature of this breakfast, each boy must have an adult host in order to attend. If one adult is going to be hosting multiple boys, please enter them as part of a group registration by adding additional registrations to the cart, even if that person has already registered with another boy.

Bring a friend and join us for a night of movies and fun!

We will have recreational time with friends before the movie fun begins!

Boys and girls are welcome!

We will have Little Caesar’s pizza and popcorn for the movie.

Your child can wear their favorite PJ’s or pajama pants, if they wish.

Tennis shoes are recommended since we have recreational play time.

If you have a sporting event, you can come a little late.

Movie night is available for grades YK-4th in online registration.

Join the ultimate adventure with Capture the Flag! Split into teams and race to snatch the flag from the other side, while dodging and tagging your way to victory. Can you outsmart and outrun your opponents to claim the prize and be crowned champion?

We’re having a big fiesta for Cinco de Mayo! Come enjoy refreshing Mexican snacks, have fun making crafts, playing games, listening to mariachi music, and learning about the origin of this well-known holiday from south of the border.
