Finger placement, home row technique, speed, editing mistakes, and lots of good typing habits - learn all of this and more by joining the second annual Keyboard Crushers Club with Danielle Walton. This six-week club is the perfect after-school adventure for boys who want to learn the fundamentals of typing with step-by-step lessons, challenges, and games! The boys will stay motivated with badges and awards.

While tablets are essential tools for education, touch typing on the computer is still a crucial skill for students to master as it can help improve spelling, literacy, and computer skills. Afternoon snack included. At the end of the class, the boys will be given the tools they need to continue using the program at home for extended practice.

PDS Chess Club is on the MOVE with instruction for beginners (who have never moved a piece), intermediate (know more than how the pieces move), and advanced (tournament level) players. Our Chess Club fosters problem-solving, analytical skills, enhances critical thinking, and strengthens memory.

Members are immersed in an exciting, challenging, and mind developing game in a fun- filled environment while receiving outstanding instruction from Rhodes College students.

Grouped by age and grade level, students are taught by these active chess players who meet the high standards of Mid-South Chess where “Chess is an Art, a Science, and a Sport.”

Please join us for Operation Kind Crusader: Project #1. For this project, we will be handwriting personalized messages in holiday cards to express our love and appreciation to our United States service members overseas. The cards will be mailed off with a goal of arriving at their destination in time for Christmas.

Price includes postage, holiday cards, stickers, and gel pens for decoration.
