Last year, Rodale Books launched a contest where kids were asked to submit ideas for stories that could inspire a full-length book by a New York Times bestselling author. The winning entry was submitted by Presbyterian Day School 6th-grader Vince Boberski!
Over Spring Break, Boberski traveled to New York City where he was surprised and recognized by the Rodale Kids team at their New York City office. His story idea about a pair of modern-day scientists who get stuck in the stone age will become The Story Pirates Present: Stuck in the Stone Age by New York Times bestselling author Geoff Rodkey, author of The Tapper Twins series.
“My advice about writing a new story is write whatever comes to your mind. Even if it doesn’t make sense, you can use your imagination to make it make sense.” – Vince Boberski, 6th Grade
