A Yellow, Sunny Week!
Friday, 03 September 2010 -This week we met Suzie Square! We learned a new song and talked about how she has four sides and four corners that are all the same. We have made squares, played with squares, sung about squares, and even eaten squares!! We would like to thank Mrs. Billups and Mrs. Bragg for being our cooking parents this week. We all looked so bright and sunny on Wednesday when we wore yellow! We thought of things that are yellow and created some yellow art. We have been counting and graphing each day, when we make our drink choices at snack. You would be proud of us! Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend. We can’t wait to hear about some fun adventures. See you on Tuesday.

PK Bible news
Tuesday, 31 August 2010 -Dear Parents,
What a joy and privilege it is to partner with you in your son’s spiritual growth. This year in pre-K Bible, we will meet two days in the six day rotation. One of the days, we will focus on traits of integrity. We will be using the Integrity Time curriculum, which presents one trait per week that begins with the letter being learned in the classroom. ( A-Attitude, B- Behavior, C-Cooperation, etc.) We will talk about how God wants us to be people of integrity who choose what is true and good and right. Philippians 4:8 is our guiding scripture for Integrity Time.
The second day we meet, we will be exploring “God made me and God made the world.” We will learn about the beautiful creation God has made for us, and our amazing Creator. These days will be very experiential, including nature walks, “creation stations” and hands on activities.
At the end of every class, we pray for families, friends, needs and a country of the world. We are praying through an alphabetical list (this is our third year) and have already prayed for Jordan and Kazakhstan. If your family would like to pray for these countries as well, here is the list we will be using. You can go to http://operationworld.24-7prayer.com/ for more information on the countries.
Please know you are always welcome to stop by my room or email me with your questions, concerns and thoughts.
Blessings-
Darilyn Christenbury
