Hunter Witherington is a Partner of SSM Partners, a growth equity firm that focuses on making investments in privately-held, software and healthcare IT companies.

Hunter currently serves as a board member for three private companies in which SSM has invested and has served as a board member or board observer for a number of other companies. Prior to joining SSM in 2004, Hunter spent several years in investment banking with Stephens, Inc. working on mergers and acquisitions, private placements, and public offerings for middle-market companies. Hunter received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Vanderbilt University.

Outside of work, Hunter serves as the Treasurer and a board member of the Thomas W. Briggs Foundation and is actively involved as a member of Second Presbyterian Church.
