Lighthouse Conversations Book Club - The Readied Child
In a world focused on early achievement, many parents are left wondering: Is my child truly ready?
What if readiness wasn’t about pushing skills—but about equipping your child with the tools they need to meet their full potential?
The Readied Child invites parents to view their child through a new lens—one that honors development and sees regulation and intentional movement as the foundation for lifelong success. This book offers practical tools to support your child’s readiness for learning and life, beginning long before worksheets and classrooms come into play.
Blending research with years of pediatric occupational therapy experience, The Readied Child helps parents understand how being organized, calm, and connected shapes attention, confidence, and performance. You’ll gain simple, actionable ways to support your child—without comparison or overwhelm.
This book offers a clear, compassionate roadmap for parents who want to raise capable, resilient learners by meeting their children where they are—and guiding them to be truly ready—inside and out.
