Destination Imagination - 6th Grade
For Grades: 6th Grade
Interested in being a part of Destination Imagination? It's time to sign-up!
The Destination Imagination program is a fun, hands-on system of learning that fosters students’ creativity, courage and curiosity through open-ended academic challenges in the fields of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), fine arts and service learning. Participants learn patience, flexibility, persistence, ethics, respect for others and their ideas, and the collaborative problem solving process. Teams will showcase solutions to open-ended challenges at a regional tournament.

NotePlease note that being a part of this team is a considerable time commitment for students and parents. Additional meetings may be scheduled throughout the school year. Parents must be willing to volunteer at tournaments. This includes a Saturday of training prior to the tournament. Also, due to limited space, we will close registrations once the maximum number of students is reached. A parent meeting will be scheduled once sign-ups are complete.
Time Commitment: Weekly Monday meetings from approximately 3:10-4:15 beginning 9/23; Additional meetings may be necessary during tournament season. Tournament season will involve at least one, possibly two, weekends in the spring.
