We believe in boys.
How can we best prepare boys for today and tomorrow?
At Presbyterian Day School, we’re not just asking that question, we’re answering it by leading the way with an innovative approach to elementary education.
The biggest investment we can make today is in our boys. High school, college, career — they matter. But so do the early years. Let’s not forget the foundation that tomorrow is built upon — let’s not forget that boyhood is still precious and worthy of investment.
Campaign Elements
1. Build Outdoor Commons
One of the realities of being landlocked between two major thoroughfares is that PDS lacks dedicated outdoor space for our students. This campaign will allow us to create a vibrant, natural oasis right on our campus where boys can explore, learn, and simply be boys.
2. Prioritize our Dining Hall
The current basement dining hall experience is far from ideal. By moving dining into a bright, airy, and inviting area, we will create an environment that fosters community and connection. Boys will look forward to gathering over meals and other events, strengthening the bonds that are so critical during these formative elementary school years.
3. Fund the Center for Educational Growth
4. Grow our Endowment
From the Head of School

This campaign is not just ambitious; it’s a set of transformative initiatives aimed at elevating the educational experience for our boys and strengthening PDS’ commitment to our city. Building on PDS’ rich legacy, we recognize the crucial role the school plays in helping boys navigate the critical years of boyhood, by developing them holistically—in wisdom, stature, and favor with both God and man. We understand that these formative years are filled with challenges and triumphs, and our distinctively Christian vision of boyhood provides a framework for making sense of the knowledge they acquire, the experiences they have, and the world they can help shape through the responsibilities and opportunities God gives them. The Campaign for Boyhood offers us a chance to innovate, enhance and reimagine new educational pathways for our boys as we look to the future.
Together, we can create a lasting impact that goes far beyond the walls of PDS. I invite you to join us on this exciting journey. As we embark on this campaign, we are filled with hope and enthusiasm about what these new spaces will mean for each boy, and the new standard it will establish for excellence in education at PDS.
