Mentor Breakfast Inspires Crowd - Video

Over 200 alumni, parents, and friends of PDS attended the Mentor Breakfast on Friday, November 22.

This annual breakfast, hosted by the PDS Alumni Association, provided guests the opportunity to enjoy breakfast and fellowship and to hear an inspirational message from Brad Martin and 3 special University of Memphis students, Joe Jackson, Jesse Milleson, and Dixon Williams.

PDS Alum Gary Wunderlich '08 Receives All-America Jersey

PDS Alum Gary Wunderlich '08  was presented his honorary game jersey during the American Family Insurance Selection Tour for the 2014 Under Armour All-America High School Football Game at Memphis University School in Memphis, Tenn., today.  The event was part of the three-month American Family Insurance Selection Tour for the Under Armour All-America Game.
Wunderlich is one of 90 players selected to compete in the seventh-annual Under Armour All-America Game presented by American Family Insurance, a nationally televised competition spotlighting the country’s top high school seniors.  The 2014 Under Armour All-America Game is set for 4 p.m. ET Jan. 2 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla., and will be televised on ESPN.  
"At the Under Armour All-America Game, I'm really looking forward to showing off my talent,” Wunderlich said.  “I’m also looking forward to playing against the best of the best on ESPN."

Former PDS Coach and Athletic Director Philip D. Cantrell Passes Away

Sadly, we want you to know that former PDS Coach and Athletic Director, Philip D. Cantrell passed away suddenly in Annapolis, Maryland on November 6, 2013.  Coach Cantrell served PDS from 1984-1996 and will be missed by the many lives he touched.  Services will be Sunday, November 10 at 2:00 pm at Calvary United Methodist Church in Annapolis, MD.  Hardesty Funeral Home-Annapolis has charge.  Please keep the Cantrell family in  your thoughts and prayers.

Britt Colcolough '06 Continues to Shine

PDS celebrates alum Britt Colcolough ’06 who plays football for the Princeton Tigers.  Britt played in 8 games as a Freshman last year and in all 4 games so far this year.  Colcolough states that “school and football are tough.”  Colcolough is also involved in Princeton Faith and Action.  Check out the next 2 games on TV.  Princeton vs. Brown on October 19 @ 6:00pm EST and Princeton vs. Harvard on October 26 @1:00pm EST.  The broadcast is on Fox Sports Network.

PDS Alums comprise 90% of the MUS Lower School Golf Team.  Congratulations to Wyatt Berry '12, Call Ford '13, Matthew Rogers '13, and Philip Wunderlich '13 who are members of the A Team.  Congrats to Daniel Black '12, Jackson Bridgforth '12, Robin Coffman '13, Walker Crosby '13, and Hall Upshaw '13 who are members of the B Team.

PDS Alums Share Golf Success

Congratulations to the Rudolph brothers on their success on the golf course this year. Goodman Rudolph ’11 tied for second place in a very close contest (one stroke behind the winner) in the Tennessee Golf Association’s junior event - Ashworth Elite Series.  Goodman is listed on the Junior Golf Scoreboard as the #5 junior golfer in TN, the #10 9th graders in the USA, and the #11 9th grader in the world.  He’s the #1 ranked freshman in TN.

Congratulations to Mason Rudolph ‘11 for qualifying for the State Amateur this summer in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Mason took Memphis' 11th and final spot after a birdie on the second hole of a six way playoff. 

Mason and Goodman will play for MUS in the TSSAA State Championship tournament next week at Willowbrook.  Both helped lead the team to the West Region championship last week.

7 PDS Alums Named National Merit Semifinalists

Congratulations to 7 PDS alums for being named National Merit Semifinalists.
