The boys did some OUTSTANDING work this week learning how to build letter O, singing Octopus Stew, counting o’s, and naming things that begin with the /o/ sound. They have also been working with number 9 and practicing their cutting skills. Everyone was over the moon about eating Fruity O’s, Oreos, and making our own oatmeal! We even tasted green and black olives! “The Office” center was a big hit this week, and the boys loved playing with calculators, writing notes, and making important phone calls. We learned some interesting things about an octopus as well as a few other creatures that live in the ocean.

We hope you enjoy your weekend!

N was our letter for the week! We learned a new song about Nellie the Nurse and how to build the letter N. We looked for “N” things in our mystery box, matched numerals to their quantity, strung numbers on laces, built N’s with newspaper, strung noodles on a necklace, hammered nails, learned about Narwhal whales, and put together number puzzles!

We also focused on recognizing and forming the number 8 this week. Cutting 8 arms for our mystery sea creature next week was pretty tricky, but we are getting better and stronger with our scissors!

We are looking forward to visiting with you all at Parent Conferences. Thank you for sharing your sweet boys with us each day. Enjoy your weekend!

Marvin the Monkey taught us his favorite things that begin with “M” this week. We have had fun singing along and thinking of MORE things that begin with M. This week we have worked with magnets, sorted muffins, learned more about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, balanced monkeys in trees, read The Mitten, and explored our mystery box. Graphing milkshake flavors helped us to add a step in our graphing skills. It was even more fun to taste our favorite flavor on MILKSHAKE day! We found that letter M was one of the trickiest letters that we have built with our wood pieces. Please practice building your letters at home each night too!

We focused on recognizing and writing the number 7 this week. How many days are in a week? Have your son sing our “Days of the Week” song for you!

Don’t forget to practice your Magic Coat move! Most boys are doing a great job with this. Please remember to write your son’s name on every garment.

Have a magnificent weekend!
