Magnificent Week in JK1

We had a magnificent week in JK! We introduced the letter Mm and we made moon letter cards with glow in the dark paint. We practiced writing the letter Mm with magna doodles built with magna tiles and drew pictures with markers.

We continued our farm unit this week and focused on animals. We made chicken hats and discussed predators. The boys were daddy hens and spent the day protecting their egg from the sneaky, sly fox who would sneak in and grab their eggs. The boys had fun building chicken coops and fox traps! We read the book “Pigs Pigs” by Gail Gibbons. We did a STEAM activity to go along with “The Three Little Pigs.” We “built” houses and tried to see whose house would not be huffed and puffed and blown down! We finished our farm unit with a delicious Harvest Breakfast. We had foods from the farm and enjoyed music from Mr. Hancock. Thank you to all the party parents who helped provide for our party!

Next week is the PDS Book Fair. The books will be set up in Baber Gym and our day to visit is Thursday at 12:00. Please pick your son up from our classroom.
