Revised 6th Grade Intramural Basketball (Team Name Change)

Dear Parents,

There has been a team name change that we wanted everyone to be aware of. The Spurs are now the Thunder. Otherwise, the schedule remains the same. Attached is the revised schedule with the correct teams. Sorry for any confusion.

6th ELA

  • Tuesday
    • Even though students are working on their speech in class, they still need to continue to research and work on their body paragraphs at home. The body paragraphs are due on Friday, February 21st.
    • The RoTHMC Ch. 1-6 Test will be on Wednesday, February 19th. Students should review their study guide, vocabulary cards, chapter tripods and questions, metacognition marks, and quizzes to help prepare for the test.
    • Students need to complete Clause Practice #7 and review their notes by Wednesday, February 19th.
    Wednesday
    • Even though students are working on their speech in class, they still need to continue to research and work on their body paragraphs at home. The body paragraphs are due on Friday, February 21st.
    • Ch. 7 and Ch. 8 vocabulary notecards for RoTHMC are due on Thursday, February 20th.
    • By Monday, February 24th, students need to read Ch. 7 and Ch. 8 in RoTHMC, make strong metacognition marks, and answer the guiding questions. There will be a reading quiz on Wednesday, February 26th, over Ch. 7-8 material and vocabulary.
    • Students need to review ALL notes on clauses.
    Thursday
    • Even though students are working on their speech in class, they still need to continue to research and work on their body paragraphs at home. The body paragraphs are due on Friday, February 21st.
    • By Monday, February 24th, students need to read Ch. 7 and Ch. 8 in RoTHMC, make strong metacognition marks, and answer the guiding questions. There will be a reading quiz on Wednesday, February 26th, over Ch. 7-8 material and vocabulary.
    • By Friday, February 21st, students need to take Cornell notes on the Noun Clauses tutorial.
    Friday
    • By Monday, February 24th, students need to read Ch. 7 and Ch. 8 in RoTHMC, make strong metacognition marks, and answer the guiding questions. There will be a reading quiz on Wednesday, February 26th, over Ch. 7-8 material and vocabulary.
    • Students need to complete Clause Practice #10 and review their notes by Monday, February 24th.

  • Day 1

    Before coming to class on Day 1, students were to watch the Unit 12 Day 1 tutorial and take notes. In class, students were to complete the day 1 checking in and practice problems. If students did not complete the practice problems in class, they are to finish for homework. Students will also need to watch and take notes on the day 2 tutorial.

    *Due to Winter Break, this is a 7 day unit. This is the last test of T2.

    **Please note the due date below coincides with the day of the math rotation and may not necessarily be the "due" date.

    Due: Tuesday, 11 February 2020
    Day 2

    Before coming to class on day 2, students were to watch and take notes the day 2 tutorial. In class, students were to complete the day 2 checking in and practice problems. If students did not complete the practice problems in class, they are to finish for homework.

    **Students received a hard copy of the Unit 12 Extra Practice Problems today in class. These are to be completed during free time in/out of class and will be due at the beginning of class on day 5, 2/19.

    Day 3

    Before coming to class on Day 3, students were to watch and take notes on the day 3 tutorial. In class, students were to complete the day 3 checking in and practice problems. If students did not complete the practice problems in class, they are to finish for homework.

    Guided Challenge Test Out

    Those students who would like to attempt to test out of the regular curriculum and enter the Guided Challenge will have an opportunity to do so in class today. In order to attempt to test out, students should have completed the Unit 12 practice test found on PowerSchool Learning.

    Day 4

    Students will work in a small group completing a collaborative assignment, working on virtual math problems, or working in a small group with the teacher.

    **Students should be working on the Unit 12 Extra Practice Problems due day 5, 2/19, and Unit 12 Practice Test (due 2/20).

    Due: Tuesday, 18 February 2020
    Day 5
