6th ELA

  • Monday
    • Students need to read 20 pages of their independent reading book. 
    • Students need to complete a 15-minute Membean session by Tuesday, October 22nd. Students should complete the Membean writing assignment by Friday, October 25th.
    • Students need to complete the character trait evidence packet by Tuesday, October 22nd.
    • The text connections reading reflection is due on Tuesday, October 22nd.
    • Students need to watch the Figurative Language Flocabulary video and complete the assigned exercises by Tuesday, October 22nd.
    Tuesday
    • Students need to read 20 pages of their independent reading book.
    • Students need to complete a 15-minute Membean session by Wednesday, October 23rd. Students should complete the Membean writing assignment by Friday, October 25th.
    • By Wednesday, October 23rd, students need to take Cornell notes on the Action Verbs and Linking Verbs tutorial located on PowerSchool Learning. There will be a verb memorization quiz on Tuesday, October 29th.
    • Students need to be working on the figurative language packet. It is due Monday, October 28th. There will be a figurative language quiz on Wednesday, October 30th.
    • Students need to complete the following IXL by Wednesday, October 23rd: Sixth Grade E.4 Interpret Figures of Speech.
    Wednesday
    • Students need to read 20 pages of their independent reading book.
    • Students need to complete a 15-minute Membean session by Friday, October 25th. Students should complete the Membean writing assignment by Friday, October 25th.
    • Students need to be working on the verb packet. It is due Monday, October 28th. There will be a verb memorization quiz on Tuesday, October 29th.
    • Students need to be working on the figurative language packet. It is due Monday, October 28th. There will be a figurative language quiz on Wednesday, October 30th.
    • Students need to complete the following IXL by Thursday, October 24th: Sixth Grade E.5 Classify Figures of Speech.
    Thursday
    • Students need to read 20 pages of their independent reading book.
    • Students need to complete a 15-minute Membean session by Friday, October 25th. Students should complete the Membean writing assignment by Friday, October 25th.
    • Students need to be working on the verb packet. It is due Monday, October 28th. There will be a verb memorization quiz on Tuesday, October 29th.
    • Students need to be working on the figurative language packet. It is due Monday, October 28th. There will be a figurative language quiz on Wednesday, October 30th.
    • Students need to complete the following IXL by Friday, October 25th: Sixth Grade E.6 Analyze the effects of figures of speech on meaning and tone.
    Friday
    • Students need to read 20 pages of their independent reading book. 
    • Students will have a spelling quiz on Friday, November 1st. Students should study the lesson three spelling list, homophones, and word parts located on PowerSchool Learning. 
    • Students need to be working on the verb packet. It is due Monday, October 28th. There will be a verb memorization quiz on Tuesday, October 29th.
    • Students need to be working on the figurative language packet. It is due Monday, October 28th. There will be a figurative language quiz on Wednesday, October 30th.
